However, I took her because my best Cruiser Captain was USN, and between the Pensacola, Atlanta, and the Indianapolis she's the best choice. Honestly may be I have a screwed perspective, because I'm apparently Top 15 in WTR for her in Ranked this season. The problem with Indy is getting into radar range without being blasted off the face of the planet. I expect to win 95% of those engagements. I never EVER feel threatened by one in my Belfast. It's really a sad truth in this game that you have to go premium to get a US battleship that isn't the worst or almost the worst performer against its peers. Alabama will be balanced around the tier as a whole instead of around one of the poorest ships in the tier. ![]() Honestly, the fact that Alabama will probably end up second or third in ranking at tier will show just how weak North Carolina is. But it will not be PtW for a tier 8 battleship given just how much Bismarck dominates the other ships in tier. If it comes out with the lowered citadel then yes, it will be superior to the North Carolina. The main takeaway here is to use your own experience when deciding on a ship.Īs to the Alabama itself. Flamu and Jingles honestly don't register as viable sources to me. Notser and Zoup are pretty good in my mind for reviews on how the ships play Notser tends to be a bit more critical of things he doesn't agree with, and Zoup plays his ships fairly similar to how I do. Personally, I'll look at both Mouse's and iChase's reviews to get the raw stats of the ship in question and then base it off my own experience. Not that it's a bad thing, but you should never treat what they say as the absolute final word on a ship's performance. They essentially are working for Wargaming by testing out these ships before release, regardless of compensation. If there's one thing I've always operated by, it's to take whatever any Community Contributor says with a grain of salt.
